Firm Foundations

The present day success of the MASTERON Group as a turnkey construction services provider has been built on the firm foundations of experience and knowledge, gained over a substantial period of time.

The Group started out in 1981, solely as Masteron Sdn Bhd, a small but efficiently-run construction company.  Its beginnings lay in the construction of various industrial buildings, with its maiden project a single storey warehouse in Port Klang, Selangor.

Through the years, factories, schools and all manner of civil engineering and earth works were to add to the company’s experience and it was not until 1992 that Masteron deemed it was the right time to take on greater challenges.  It completed its first high-rise, the 18-storey Menara Choy Fook On in Petaling Jaya, Selangor in 1994.

With its first success in hand, the company’s progress quickly accelerated.  The very next year, it began work as turnkey contractor on the 145 acre mixed development of Taman Mas Sepang in Selangor and has since, never looked back.

Introduction

The MASTERON Group started out as Masteron Sdn Bhd, a small but efficiently run construction company in 1981.  The construction activities of Masteron grew in tandem with the construction boom in the eighties with diverse projects of industrial buildings, residential buildings, public facilities and civil engineering works.

Masteron quickly became one of the major contractors in high-rise building, construction providing design, engineering, project management, construction and project finance for developments and infrastructures, developing also most of the Company’s projects.  The Group strived to provide quality service to both national and international markets. By adopting international practice, adopting a dynamic management structure by creating a resourceful work group and by practicing in companies operating in specific area.  This approach has enable MASTERON Group to respond to the present day demands in multi-discipline services.

The Group’s activity is driven by the diverse resources and expertise gained from previous projects.  Presently its size and international prominence allow it to lead joint ventures, establish project financing and take on the position as the main contractor, project leader in the development and construction of large project.

A Global Approach
  
In 1995, the Group also expanded its operation to Kingdom of Cambodia with the establishment of MMCJV, which was formed to act as a member of the consortium of partners in the Concessionaire of the Privatization of the Pochentong International Airport, Kingdom of Cambodia.  The concession company is SCA in which MMCJV holds an equity stake of 30%.  MMCJV is also a shareholder in Pochentong Airport Construction Ltd., the company set up to undertake the construction of the New Passenger Terminal and ancillary buildings to the Pochentong Airport, Kingdom of Cambodia.
